Has anyone here managed to successfully roll through a double diablos charge? It was pretty unnerving when I evaded on reflex and managed to avoid a double a combo charge by rolling through it.

My armour set was the Narga X with evade +2 and evade dist up. I was also using the Hidden Ones dual sword - Narga DS.

I dont think thats possible, no. The hitbox is too big, just like some roars are too big to roll though.

No its deffo not possible. I have tried it multiple times, just to find out. I\'ve used the G-ranked narda arm (which as evade +2 and evade distance up) and it is nearly impossible. I use roll-through alot and this is one of those attacks that is not doable.

Ah I'm sorry perhaps I was little vague when I stated roll through. Of course it would be nigh impossible to roll head on, but I assumed that wasn't the case. When I stated roll through I meant that I dodged diagonally to the charge. Kind of like the V shape. So I only clipped the hit box when I was invincible.

Plus that charge has ta similar spread to an Akantor charge, which would be rather difficult to roll through.

So I apologise for the misunderstanding.

It is possible with evade+ and evade distance up/evade inc.
I have been able to do so without evade+, but that was rather a very lucky and very well positioned one...

The trick in it is to position yourself on the right or left of his face and roll trought the body and legs.
Make sure to learn when he charges and when you are invulnerable.
With your skillset you can even roll starting from the head if done well enoug.

Are you sure? I dunno who you target atm, but have you ever been able to roll through one, from the horns?

Huh? Target?

Yes it is possible from the horns, but that is not even nescesery since you can roll trough the rest of the body rather.

I've managed it actually. Asiinaia is right, I tried to roll from the right of the horn and emerge from the end of body. In between the legs. You have to time it very very well though.

It certainly took more than a few tries but a very useful trick to keep in mind.

Doesn't matter, MHFU diablos is alot easier anyways.
And the diablos hitboxes ( except legs, tail are pretty descently done).

I can just make a video on it sometime if you want?

Last week I was stoned and managed to roll out of a Deviljho's roar without any evasion modifiers. I don't know how I managed that, and I was right under his legs so I know it wasn't the distance issue. It was cool. I then continued to sustain assault to his legs with my Sns.

With evade up, hit boxes don't count. Only the timing. Otherwise I would never successfully roll through a Plesioth's... everything. All his attacks are unnaturally large in regards to their boxes. The only thing that a Diablos may have is the number of frames the attack takes up, but even those are not long (you would have to roll real early for that to be an issue).

I will make my Thursday Podcast about Diablos in MHFU and P3rd (Not at the same time, maybe P3rd next Thursday, x2 for both). Then I will play with the evade's and such.
